The East Anglian writers’ collective Four By Four have assembled a talented and experienced group of players from across the community theatre world to bring their next original work to the stage.
The team are already in rehearsal to present ‘The Ripple Effect’, by Four by Four member David Pollard, at the Studio Eastern Angles (formerly the Sir John Mills Theatre) Ipswich for four performances between 25th and 27th September.
Fakery and false news are not the monopoly of the current times. According to the author of ‘The Ripple Effect’ ‘we have been lying to each other for gain since the beginning of time.’ Billed as a modern morality tale, the play takes a look at the consequences of such frauds for the descendants of the perpetrators when the truth finally surfaces.

Evan Hardy, Master of Bracegirdle College, is assailed by financial problems, and research student Tom Miller has found a long buried secret that will destroy the venerable College. Two Americans, Edwina Slattery and her smart lawyer, could be the financial saviours of Bracegirdle. The Master needs to prevent the secret getting out and wheedle some cash out of Ms Slattery. The fallout from deception spreads like ripples on a pond.
Performances are on 25th , 26th and 27th September – 7.30pm, matinee at 2pm on September 27th. Tickets: £12 and £10.
Tickets are on sale now at the Eastern Angles box office – For more information and to book go to: easternangles.co.uk
