Eastern Angles’ Third Act drama group is looking for new members! This Ipswich-based group is for adults aged over 50 who want to explore their creativity and get involved in theatre. Try your hand at acting, writing, movement, theatrical design or directing in a low pressure, friendly environment.

Third Act meet for weekly drama workshops on Thursday mornings at the Eastern Angles Centre in West Ipswich. Free to join and open to all adults over 50, this is a safe and inclusive environment in which to learn new skills and expand your horizons.

Speaking about the programme, Eastern Angles Engagement Coordinator Kirsty Tallent said: “Third Act is one of three community theatre groups we have at Eastern Angles and it is
such a privilege to be a part of. Participants come from all walks of life and bring a wealth of life experience into the room, sharing some amazing stories and ideas. Earlier this year we
had our first Rehearsed Readings event where plays written by Third Act participants were developed and performed by theatre professionals. Third Act is all about nourishing creativity and celebrating local talent – I encourage people to get involved, whether they have lots of theatre experience or none!”

Third Act’s Autumn term starts Thursday 11th September, 11am-12.30pm. With no previous experience necessary, Third Act is the perfect platform for adults looking to try something new or for those who have been involved in theatre before who want to make new connections with a professional company.
