Play Nicely Theatre is set to debut its latest production, There is a Light and a Whistle for Attracting Attention, this Spring. It’s a compelling exploration of identity, societal expectations, and personal transformation.
Written by Henri Merriam and directed by Sophia Capasso, the play delves into the journey of a woman who, disillusioned with the narratives imposed upon her, seeks to reclaim her voice and rewrite her story.
Co-produced by Mark Finbow and The Seagull Theatre, Pakefield, the play embarks on a national tour this Spring and Summer, with performances at venues and festivals across Suffolk and the UK.
Mark Finbow said “We’ve developed the show with support from the Seagull Theatre and its a great opportunity to showcase the work being made in East Suffolk by amazing regional artists.
The show will resonate widely with anybody who has loved and lost and loved again. It’s about somebody discovering the realities of love from the epic stories we are told growing up. Its beautifully written by Henri, moves with great pace, and its incredibly moving. Audiences are going to really find themselves drawn into this story.”
There is a Light and a Whistle for Attracting Attention is set to continue Play Nicely’s success by offering audiences a moving and thought-provoking theatrical experience.
