Theatre Royal Bury St Edmund’s new season of theatre performances, music events, and family shows goes on general sale at 2pm on 25th March, online and in the box office.

This season features a diverse programme of talented artists and engaging productions for audiences of all ages. From sold-out comedians to bright and colourful family-friendly shows, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

They are excited to be bringing Steve and Steff For Ever, a promenade performance, to the streets of Bury St Edmunds this August, five years since their last outdoor theatre production, A Christmas Carol, in 2020. The show will parade the streets and some businesses in Bury St Edmunds as we are immersed in this romantic comedy.

Artistic Director Owen Calvert-Lyons has something for everyone: “We’re doing things a little differently this summer with not one but two Theatre Royal productions! Ever since we staged A Christmas Carol on Angel Hill during Covid -19 Lockdown, audiences have been asking us when we will be returning to outdoor performance.
So, this summer, the creative team behind A Christmas Carol will stage Steve and Steff For Ever, a brand-new romantic comedy performed in the streets of Bury St Edmunds. With only 50 tickets available per performance, you’ll need to book quickly.
Alongside this production, our Creative Learning team will be staging Sword In The Stone, performed by a cast of 20 young people aged 11-18. Expect magic aplenty in this brand-new adaptation by Eilish Mullane.”
