Half Term at The New Wolsey

Half Term is finally here and The New Wolsey Theatre has four fantastic family shows to keep youngsters entertained.

The Brick People – Tuesday 18th February

Love LEGO®? Join them for The Brick People, where you can get involved with a wide range of exciting LEGO® related activities.

Enjoy a series of free-flowing workshops and challenges including speed building, raceway track building that you can race your vehicles down, mosaics building, timed tower building and more!

Tickets are just £8 and there are five slots throughout the day that last for 1 hour each – starting at 10am! Age guidance: 3+.

Comedy Club 4 Kids – Wednesday 19th February

Since 2005, the Comedy Club 4 Kids has been getting the best stand-ups and sketch acts from the international circuit to do their thing for an audience of children and their families… but without the rude bits!

It’s just like a normal comedy club, but it’s on in the day, kids are allowed in, and there is a higher than usual chance of heckles like “why is that your face!?”

Nick Sharratt’s Picture Book Drawalong – Friday 21st February

Join much-loved children’s writer and illustrator Nick Sharratt (You Choose, Shark in the Park) in a family-friendly, fun-filled drawalong for all ages!

He’ll be taking a look at some of his favourite books, showing you how to create characters like Tracy Beaker and Timothy Pope, sharing ways to invent your own crazy creatures and giving loads of top tips as you drawalong with him.

Bring pencils, paper and something to lean on and expect plenty of chances to join in! Age guidance: 4+.

Rude Science – Saturday 22nd February

The naughtiest, funniest, most revolting science show in the world!

Brace yourselves for BBC Gastronaut Stefan Gates’ revolutionary, high-tech, highly-explosive new show, packed with outrageous science stunts. Expect enormous bottoms, fart machines, snot cocktails, vast whoopee cushions, pee-powered fireworks and ear-wax-oozing mannequins in this celebration of the fascinating bodily science essential to life!

There are two performances – the first begins at 11:30am and the second at 2:30pm.
