Cricket and Broadcasting Legend Henry Blofeld Comes to The New Wolsey

Legendary cricket broadcaster Henry Blofeld is coming to The New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich on 11th February. Henry will be in conversation with Georgy Jamieson ( yes me!) and will take us on a charming journey through modern cricket while looking back at the great games of yesteryear.

Having been close to the heart of cricket for over fifty years, Blowers has seen the game grow into a hugely popular international sport, where franchises continue to have massive influence and more and more games are added to the world calendar. It wasn’t always this way though, and Henry will be reflecting on how cricket used to be and where it is headed.

Henry started writing about cricket in May 1962 and ten years later began his long career as a commentator on BBC’s Test Match Special, he’ll also be chatting about his long and distinguished broadcasting career including many hilarious stories.

Join Henry and me as we look back at his life and career, recounting cherished memories of his beloved sport with his signature wit and insight.

An Audience with Henry Blofeld is at the New Wolsey Theatre for one-night only on Tue 11 February – click on the link to book tickets or call the box office on 01473 295900
