Magpie Performers bring their new show to the Sir John Mills Theatre

Why see one musical when you could see sensational songs from 25?

From The Sound of Music to Les Misérables and the gangster’s world of Bugsy Malone to the fairy-tale land of Shrek, Magpie Performers are bringing their show Lights! Cabaret! Action! to the Sir John Mills Theatre this July to take you into a world of song, dance and unmissable talent that will leave you amazed, stunned and find yourself tapping your foot to the beat.

The show is being directed by 17 year old Gabs who is autistic – Kevin Amass, Vice chair of Magpie Performers, said,

‘When Gabs first came to us she just would sit and watch with her head down and didn’t even look or talk to anyone. Last year, at our panto Snow White, she was helping back stage and one of the dwarfs fell ill, so she just stepped up and took her place. I was in the tech box and was surprised to see 7 dwarfs! Ever since then she has come out of her shell, no one even knew she could sing until that day! This year she was stage manager and myself and my wife Hayley took her under our wing, Now she has a Saturday job with us and her confidence is fantastic. She is the most organised director we have had.’

Lights! Cabaret! Action! is on from 25th – 27th July at the Sir John Mills Theatre in Ipswich.
