This Spring marks a stand-out moment in Eastern Angles history as the company launches a brand-new Engagement & Participation programme with opportunities spanning across East
Anglia and beyond.

New Angles is Eastern Angles’ hub for nurturing new voices and creativity across the region with projects aimed at writers, theatre makers, young people and anyone wanting to create.

Eastern Angles’ new engagement programme includes projects open to all from established theatre professionals to those who may never have been in a theatre before. From their Ipswich base at the Eastern Angles Centre, the company will run three Youth Theatres for ages 9-18, a writing club for anyone aged over 16, and the New Angles Third Act drama group for over 50s.

In the much-loved Sir John Mills Theatre a monthly Play, Pizza & Pint night will showcase exciting new writing from emerging and established playwrights, giving audiences the chance to taste some of the newest theatre in the country.

Speaking about the announcement, Eastern Angles Associate Director (Participation & Engagement) Callum Berridge said: “I am tremendously excited for us to be launching New Angles. This ambitious programme of opportunities has been several months in the making and a real team effort, taking into consideration the needs of our community in Ipswich and more widely across the region. Our hope is that these programmes will generate thriving,
creative communities and artists.”
New Angles activities start in May 2024 with specific programmes launching on various dates throughout the month. For all the latest information, head to easternangles.co.uk or phone the team on 01473 211498
