Want to make friends, get creative and have fun? Suffolk Improv group The Unqualified Yes have an all comers 5 week Improv course starting Thu 29 Feb – Thu 28 Mar 7 – 9 pm at Dan’s Meadow, IP12 4RW.
Come and learn the joy of playing creatively and connectedly with an awesome group of people – guaranteed to put a smile on your face every Thursday night. Total beginners, cautious rejoiners and confident old hands all welcome.
They also have a Dramatic Improv Weekend Course Sat 2 Mar 2024 – Sun 3 Mar 2024 10:30 AM – 4.30Am Two Sisters Arts Centre, IP11 0SP.
If you love improv, have a bit of experience and you’d like to build your skills then the Dramatic Improv Weekend could be perfect for you. They’ll be 2 days of creative, playful, connected spontaneity with a short performance to finish at Two Sisters Arts Centre. Dramatic Improv isn’t about being “all serious”, it just means opening the door to more than just comedy Over the two days, you’ll be working on connection to one another, building skills in responding to scenes and stories to work towards one or two long-form pieces for the performance on the Sunday afternoon.
Finally they have a Musical Improv Drop In session Sun 17 Mar 2024 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM Two Sisters Arts Centre, IP11 0SP.
If you like musicals you’ll love musical improv. Have a go at improvising spontaneous songs and your very own musical scenes – no musical prowess required, although basic improv skills are helpful but not essential. They’ll also be live improvised accompaniment.
