Cinderella – written and directed by David Holman is on at the Quay Theatre from 15th to 24th Dec (various performances: matinees and evenings) with a relaxed performance on Tues 19th December 7.30pm

Once again over Christmas Sudbury’s Quay Theatre will resound to lots of booing, hissing, cheering and “it’s behind you’s” as Sudbury Dramatic Society (SDS) hit the stage from mid December with their popular annual pantomime. This year it’s Cinderella – a panto the society haven’t performed in over ten years, and runs from Friday the 15th to Christmas Eve (24th).
Cinderella promises to be another hit with audiences. Writer and director David Holman describes it as “a traditional panto combining all the familiar elements audiences love but with a few unique twists” and promises a show full of “fun, spectacular costumes and special effects”.

All the Cinderella characters audiences know and love (and some they don’t!) will feature including of course ‘Cinders’ herself along with her father the Baron, her step mother the Baroness, her faithful friend Buttons along with Dandini and Prince Charming and not forgetting the Ugly Sisters.
As with the past few SDS pantomimes, this year a relaxed performance is scheduled on Tuesday 19th December with certain elements toned down to suit particular audience members.

The SDS pantomime is always very popular and usually sells out – especially the matinee performances – so prompt booking is advised. Matinee performances are at 11.00am and 3.00pm with evening performances at 7.30pm.
Bookings can be made online at www.quaysudbury.com or by phone with the Quay Theatre box office on (01787) 374745 (Tue to Sat 10.00am – 4.00pm).
