This Christmas, Ipswich theatre company Red Rose Chain will enchant and delight audiences with their adaptation of The Tale of Mr Tod, written and directed by Artistic Director Joanna Carrick.

Red Rose Chain are always passionate about making theatre accessible to everyone and they are once again providing free tickets to special community shows on the 9th and 10th December for their Christmas show The Tale of Mr Todd, to help families struggling with the cost-of-living. Free tickets are available online or from their Box Office for disadvantaged families and young people, refugees and young people and adults with disabilities.

‘I’m so excited about our Christmas show being back at The Avenue with such a wonderful team to bring Beatrix Potter’s classic story to life!’ said Red Rose Chain’s artistic Director Joanna Carrick ‘We are also so thrilled to be bringing back our free community shows which were so successful last year and brought so much joy to hundreds of families. If any family is struggling this year, they can get these tickets with no questions asked.’

The Tale of Mr Tod will see the exciting return of Red Rose Chain favourite, Associate Artist Jack Heydon (Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet) who will play Mr Tod!  Jack will be joined by Emily Jane Kerr who has just delighted audiences as Hermione & Autolycus this summer in The Winter’s Tale, plus Red Rose Chain newcomer Evangeline Dickson! This fabulous trio will be bringing their hilarious musical madness to the show for an unforgettable Christmas tale!

The Tale of Mr Tod is going to be an unforgettable festive family adventure, full of favourite Beatrix Potter characters including Peter Rabbit, Mrs Tiggy-Winkle, Tommy Brock and many many more!
