Eastern Angles Look Ahead To Christmas With -Rumplestiltskin.

A father says his daughter can spin straw into gold but is it the truth that’s being told? Eastern Angles is inviting audiences to join them in the King’s palace this Christmas for Rumplestiltskin.

In a fairytale 4000 years old, a miller’s daughter is tasked by the King to make her father’s boasts come true and spin straw into gold. With the help of the mysteriously magical Rumpelstiltskin the impossible comes true but gold doesn’t come cheap and there’s a rather unique price to pay.

Speaking about Rumplestiltskin, Artistic Director Ivan Cutting said: “Following on from the success of our first family show last Christmas, we’re delighted to be working in association with our friends at Theatre Porto again on another cracking production. Plus we’re hoping to spread the magic of theatre to as many local schools as possible with our new sponsor a school child donation scheme.”

A new spin of the classic story, Eastern Angles are once again working with the winning team of last year’s festive favourite Little Red, writer Kevin Dyer and composer Patrick Dineen, for a show that promises to be a golden alternative to the traditional panto. Expect energetic music, dark forests, and more than a little magic.

Performances are at the Sir John Mills Theatre (Eastern Angles Centre) Ipswich from 30th November–6th January.
